Mark has been teaching music to a variety of people for more than a decade. He started teaching his first pupil at the age of 10, and hasn’t stopped since. Specialising in individual and small group tuition, Mark offers lessons on a range of instruments from keyboards, to woodwind, to world music and teaches to an extremely high level. His lessons are enjoyable and informal, and progression is made without students even realising that they are learning.

SOUNDTRACKING YOUR EVENT
A perfect soundtrack to any occasion... Mark is in various bands, from small funk/fusion bands, to blues/rock/pop groups, to large 18 piece big bands! If there is a function out there that requires music, Mark is either in the right band for you, or knows someone who is! Mark works closely with top professional musicians, and can cater for any event, large or small.
MUSICIAN INFO
Mark has a vast wealth of musical experiences. He has performed across the country in various bands, as well as a soloist. He started learning keyboard at the age of 7, and since then has mastered a variety of instruments, both keyboards and woodwind. His main instruments are the piano and saxophone, and has a keen interest in music theory and composition.
Mark’s main love is that of jazz music, including blues and funk/fusion styles. He performs regularly with exceptional musicians, as part of the Tony Giles All Stars and The Good Guys Orchestra (an 18 piece modern big band), amongst others.

Mark Ferguson Music was founded after a lifelong ambition became a reality. Mark has always wanted to work for himself, both as a music educator and as a gigging musician. He teaches a range of instruments from absolute beginner right through to post Grade 8, and can provide class/group lessons too! He has a wealth of experience, having worked in Primary, Secondary, and Private music environments since the age of 12.
